Terms and Conditions of Purchase

These Terms and Conditions of Purchase are set out by Hellas Media Network, hereinafter referred to as “Hellas Media Network“, for the customer, hereinafter referred to as “Client“, for the sale of any username associated with any domain owned by Hellas Media Network to form the sale of a complete and fully functional independent email address. Hellas Media Network owns the following domain, @hellas.com.au.

These Terms and Conditions of Purchase pertain to the sale and responsible use of an E-mail Address to prospective Clients through this website or any advertising material in any way, shape or form. All prices quoted on the hellas.com.au website are GST Inclusive.

1. Eligibility

1.1. The client must be living in Australia and be an Australian resident to purchase any e-mail address sold by Hellas Media Network.

1.2. You do not have to be of Greek descent to purchase an e-mail address.

1.3. You can buy as many e-mail addresses as you want.

2. Username Reservation

2.1. The client understands that all nominated usernames they nominate on the pre-order form are subject to availability and that Hellas Media Network does not guarantee the availability of any of the nominated usernames.

2.2. The following types of usernames are allowed:

• First names
• Last names
• Middle names
• A combination of any of the above
• Names with added numbers
• Personal nicknames
• Alter ego names
• Business names

2.3. Offensive, celebrity or any other inappropriate or prohibited names are not allowed. Do not nominate system usernames e.g. accounts, info, payments, webmaster etc.

2.4. E-mail addresses are purchased on a first-come, first-served basis. On your pre-order form, you have the opportunity to nominate three (3) usernames, and you will be allocated what is presently available in the order you nominated. You may then choose to purchase that username. You will be fully informed before you make the purchase. Usernames are not automatically assigned to clients, they are checked by administrators and manually approved or discarded.

2.5. If the requested username is available and complies with the allowed username types and restrictions, Hellas Media Network will contact the client within seven (7) days for payment of the Annual Subscription.

3. Account Setup

3.1. Once the account is set up with the nominated username and nominated domain the client will be notified by email.

3.2. Full payment for the annual subscription cost is due within seven (7) business days of the invoice date. The client will only receive login details to the account after payment has been received in full.

3.3. Failure to make the payment within seven (7) business days will result in the automatic forfeiture of the right to the nominated username.

4. Accuracy

4.1. Please use accurate details when completing the pre-order form or completing your checkout. Correct details are important.

5. Mailbox Plans

5.1. Mailbox plans are powered by Microsoft 365.

6. Usage Responsibility

6.1. Hellas Media Network does not take responsibility for how you choose to use your e-mail address. We can at our discretion cancel your account if it is proven that you use your account for malicious intent. Any account sold by Hellas Media Network to prospective clients is to be used responsibly and respectfully. You may choose to use your account for work or for personal reasons.

7. Minimum Age Requirement

7.1. The minimum age to own a username sold by Hellas Media Network, is 15 years of age. If you are underage, your parents can purchase the username on your behalf.

8. Data Privacy

8.1. The personal information you provide is stored on a secured and encrypted drive. Your information will only ever be used with your permission if your account is compromised due to hacking or if your account is being contested for ownership. We will never sell your information to any third party.

8.2. It is required that you change the temporary password emailed to your nominated alternative email address and implement 2FA on your account using the Microsoft Authenticator during setup. A link to the Authenticator and a video tutorial is available on the ‘how to‘ page.

9. Payment, Refunds, Cancellations and Account Deletion Policies

9.1. Usernames are paid annually and need to be paid within fourteen (14) business days of the next due date. If payment has not be made within the fourteen (14) business days of the issued invoice date, the account will be put into a seven (7) day suspension from which no emails can be sent or received. After this seven (7) day suspension, the account will be put into a seven (7) day Pending Delete state. At the end of the pending delete state, the account will be deleted from the system. To reactivate your account before the pending delete state completes, an administration fee of $59.95 will be applied to the invoice on top of the annual fee required.

9.2. Refunds, cancellations and change of mind reasons on paid annual subscriptions for e-mail addresses must be made in writing and within 28 days of original purchase date to admin@hellas.com.au. An administration fee of $59.95 applies for all refunds, cancellations and change of mind reasons for all paid annual subscriptions for e-mail addresses. Your refund will be processed within fourteen (14) business days to your nominated bank account. No refunds are offered after 28 days of the original purchase date.

9.3. A three (3) day cooling off period from the original purchase date of any username with any domain applies instantly. You will need to apply in writing to admin@hellas.com.au for a full refund within the three (3) day cooling off Period from the original purchase date to be eligible for the full refund. An Administration fee of $29.95 will apply for the full refund and your refund will be processed within fourteen (14) business days to your nominated bank account.

10. Username Auctions

10.1. Usernames that are deleted due to cancellation, expired, non-renewed or violating our terms and conditions will be publicly listed for sale at an online auction. The date and username will be publicly listed fourteen (14) business days prior to the auction on the hellas.com.au website and members will be emailed regarding this. The winning bidder will need to pay the auction winning bid and the annual cost of the username within three (3) business days of wining the username.

11. Upgrades

11.1. You may be eligible to upgrade from the 50GB plan to the 100GB plan if available. We will be releasing Microsoft 365 Business Accounts in the future and an upgrade path will be available. NOTE: These business accounts will have limited numbers.

12. Advertising Correspondence

12.1. As an account holder, you agree to receive email correspondence for advertising from advertisers that Hellas Media Network engages. These might include specials just for members, discounts, insider deals etc. 

Any email correspondence from any advertisers that Hellas Media Network engages, will only be from businesses that have paid advertising space on the Hellas website. You can choose to unsubscribe if you wish to any advertising that would be done on the Hellas website.

13. Username transfer and change of ownership

13.1. You can sell your username to someone else. The cost of selling your username is negotiated between you and the prospective buyer. Hellas Media Network has an administration fee of $200.00 for the transfer of ownership of the username to the prospective buyer. The new owner will need to start a new subscription plan. The original owner forfeits all rights to any refund of any annual fee paid for the username they previously owned. A statutory declaration needs to be filled out and 100-points Identification is required to be sent to Hellas Media Network within three (3) business days of the transfer/change of ownership of the username acknowledging the sale of the username. Also with the paperwork, Hellas Media Network will require proof in the form of an invoice of the sale with all parties’ details including the sale total. We may at our discretion suspend the account until we receive the necessary information.

14. Terms and Conditions of Purchase

14.1. The Client acknowledges that they have read and agreed to the full Terms and Conditions of Purchase as outlined above.

15. Changes to these Terms and Conditions of Purchase

15.1. Hellas Media Network reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions of Purchase without any prior written consent or notice as it sees fit. It is up to the existing Clients to keep up to date with any changes. Hellas Media Network will endeavour to inform its clients of any changes as they are made but does not guarantee the delivery of that information to its clients. Clients may have SPAM filters in place that may impede the delivery of such information.

Glossary

Username.

A username is the local part of an email address preceding the @ symbol, hereinafter referred to as “Username“

@.

The @ symbol is the part the separates the Username and Domain commonly known as the ‘At Sign’, hereinafter referred to as “At“.

Domain.

Domain is the part proceeding after the @, hereinafter referred to as “Domain“.

Email Address.

A Username, an @ symbol and a Domain, form a complete email address, hereinafter referred to as “E-mail Address“.

Administration Fees.

Administration Fees are chargers to Clients that involve work to process refunds, change of ownership details, update Client Records etc.
